Dr. Earl Grey (Pittsburgh & Washington) (Founding Director) - has been internationally recognized for his research of human stress and of EMDR. He holds a PhD from Capella University in Human Services with a specialization in Counseling. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, board Certified Psychotherapist, Nationally Certified Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor, Internationally Certified Co-occurring Disorder Professional Diplomat, a Certified EMDR therapist, an Approved Consultant for EMDR through EMDRIA, and an EMDR Facilitator. He employs EMDR as his primary form of therapy and is dedicated to maintaining EMDR treatment fidelity according to
the 8-phase protocol . With more than 14 years experience in the human services and education fields, Dr. Grey trains therapist in using multi-sensory interventions with wellness healing tenets to aid clients reach their functioning potential. He has advanced training in assisting traumatized individuals and individuals dually-diagnosed. In addition to EMDR, Dr. Grey utilizes and trains clinicians to use Impact Therapy, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Dance Therapy, CBT, Transactional Analysis, Adlerian Therapy, Gestalt, Native American Wellness, and Career Coaching. Dr.
Grey has developed and trademarked Reprocessing & Re-consolidation Theory, which provides a
neuroscientific explanation for adaptive and maladaptive personality development. Dr. Grey has presented and researched EMDR, theory-driven
practice, evidence-based practice, developmental assessments, and the inclusion
of multi-sensory interventions for regional, national, and international audiences.
Dr.
Grey works primarily with training other clinicians to develop their therapeutic skills. He does treat some clients in a very limited schedule. Dr. Grey's speaking and training engagements keeps him traveling on a regular basis.

Kate Thompson, M.Ed. LPC, NCC (Washington Office) – earned a Masters of Education, is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Nationally Certified Counselor. “I have accumulated over twenty-five years experience in the human services, counseling, and educational fields. I believe that people thrive in healthy and positive relationships with themselves and others. Challenges that occur in our environment – family, work, school, friends – can affect our level of functioning and therefore, our ability to cultivate change and self worth. To confront these challenges I employ multi-modal and strength-based interventions that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Family Therapy, Adlerian, Rational-Emotive and Behavioral Therapies.”
Eric J. Murphy, M.S., M.A. (Washington Office)- is a clinically trained Psychotherapist and has been employed in both corporate and private settings since 2004. He has two Masters Degrees from the University
of West Virginia: a Masters of Arts in
Community Counseling, and a Masters of Science in Community Wellness. He is continually training to
improve and expand his skills by facilitating workshops and providing employee
assistance to various organizations. He has significant experience assisting families in moving towards their full
potential and resolving conflict. Mr. Murphy uses his academic education and practical experience to help clients review and
evaluate their life situation, and help clarify their true goals. A client working with Mr. Murphy will gain an understanding of others and skills to have an impact towards living effectively and a deeper positive connection with self and loved ones.
